What do you guys and gals think of the new Electronic Shimano Dura-Ace 7970 DI2? http://www.roadcycling.com/reviews/Shimano_Introduces_E...hnology_002320.shtml

Do you think it will be a great advantage on the roads ... and does it hold the potential to change the outcomes of future races? Will it be a lot easier and faster to shift gears on the mountains making it easier to respond to competitor attacks?

Personally I would have preferred a version with less wires and a heavier battery ... then again, the battery does add weight, but I think the reason why it still has wires is because the completely cableless version still hasn't been developed sufficiently to make it ready for production and launch to the general public. Or they push it a few years forward to extend the lifespan of their Dura-Ace product line. Once it becomes fully cableless - what's left to develop or improve?

Thoughts on my speculations and the new Dura-Ace group itself ... and it's new features?
