Right a bit of history first so you know where im coming from i am a large bloke ie i was 26 and a half stone got my self a mountain bike and have lost just over 2 stone in 6 weeks going out most nights on the bike in the near future i am thinking of geting a road bike as 95% of my riding is around cornwall's roads and i havnt a clue when it comes to road bikes what my needs are i have a budget of around £1500 i need a shimano hollowtec II (or simalar) BB/chainset as square tapers i round off in an instant (they last me about a week as i found out on my MTB upgraded to a hollowtec II and have done around 200 miles since and its solid as a rock) also as you can probaly immagine im not a speed freak up hills so i am seriously looking for a tripple for now to give me the lower gears and im not too worried about the weight of the bike most important to me are a good strong frame and a decent crank/gear set which will withstand my weight
right over to you i keeplooking and just get confused so thaught this was a good place to start
