Bottom Bracket

Hi

I have had two bikes, a Cannondale R800 and a Bianchi Neron. The bearings in both bottom brackets have gone within the first 6 months. The R800 had a Truvative crank set and the Neron had a Gossemer crank set. I don't do that many miles so wear and tear is not the likely cause. Can you recommend a good crank set?

Just wondered if you do a lot of wet riding or pressure wash the bikes, check the drain hole in the base. Also be carefull of the thread type and direction.

I agree with James.
It's unusual to have the bearings go bad so quickly.
Have you removed the BB and verified the bearings are bad, or do they just need to be cleaned and re-greased?
