Whats the situation with winter training in the US for keen amatuers? do you guys keep going all year round or is it more of a rest season with the emphasis on taking it easy in the cold months.
In the UK most of the top guys keep going to a lesser extent,is it dependant on which part of the country you live?

I've been wondering about this also. Here in the North Eastern U.S. temps are about low to mid 60's. I rode today and had on a T-shirt, cycling shirt and light sweat jersey. Two pair of socks under Nike sneaks. Had jeans on and didn't change them but rode for about a 4 mile sprint. (14-16 mph). A scarf under the helmet would've been helpful.
