If anyone is looking to grab themselves a fantastic place from which to watch the Tour de France climb up the famous bends of Alpe D'Huez I have used these guys in the past: http://www.kriegbaum.dk/alpedhuez.html
They have a great apartment for rent in the old part of town, with a big south facing balcony that overlooks the action as the riders climb the bends up the mountain!!
Also check out http://www.thomsonbiketours.com/ . They offer some great bike tours to the 2008 Tour de France, 2008 Giro d'Italia and of course La Vuelta - or the Tour of Spain if you like.
First time I visited this site, good content and definately visit again. It's nice to contribute something so here's a link to some more accomodation. Only a few Km from Embrun so great for two stages (15 & 17).
