Come Join American Cancer Society’s Bicycles Battling Cancer Group Ride!!

Beginner and veteran cyclists are invited to make their miles more meaningful by participating in the third annual American Cancer Society Bicycles Battling Cancer set for Sunday, June 12. Choose a ride option right for you, the Century Ride – 100 miles starting in Worcester; the Metric Century Ride – 100 km/ 62 miles starting in Northborough; or Bicycles Battling Cancer Lite – 30 miles starting in Holliston. Bicycles Battling Cancer allows participants the opportunity to get fit, have fun, and make a difference, all while raising funds to support Society’s critical mission to saves lives and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays by helping people stay well and get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back.

All local cyclists are encouraged to attend one of the group rides scheduled for:

•Sunday, April 10 at 12:30 p.m., a 29 mile Bicycles Battling Cancer ride beginning and ending at the Bancroft School, 110 Shore Drive in Worcester.

•Saturday, May 14 at 11:00 a.m., a 40 mile Bicycles Battling Cancer ride beginning and ending at Landry’s Bicycles, 276 Turnpike Road in Westborough.

•Saturday, June 4 at 7:00 a.m., a 40 mile Bicycles Battling Cancer group ride beginning at Grace Bicycles, 1574 Washington Street in Holliston.

•Sunday, May 8 at 9:30 a.m., a 50 to 60 mile group ride beginning at Quad Cycles, 1043 Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington.

•Sunday, April 17 at 8:00 a.m., a 35 mile Bicycles Battling Cancer ride beginning and ending at Salem Cycles, 72 Washington Street in Salem.

•Sunday, May 1 at 9:00 a.m., a 24.6 or 49.2 mile Bicycles Battling Cancer ride along the Nashua River Rail Trail. Please park at the Ayer Trailhead. For directions, email us at BicyclesBattlingCancer@cancer.org.

•Sunday, April 24 at 10:00 a.m., a 50 mile Bicycles Battling Cancer ride that will begin at Mad Maggies Ice Cream, 1025 Osgood Street in North Andover and take riders to Plum Island and back.

Individuals do not have to be registered for Bicycles Battling Cancer to participate in any of the group rides and RSPV is not required.
These rides will help cyclists prepare for the challenge of a Metric Century and Century ride as well as provide more information about the Society’s upcoming Bicycles Battling Cancer ride.
