Just wondering what your rides are like just for maintaining cycling discipline and health. My rides are about 12-15 milers and I try to have a friend along for the comaradere and this seems to compel a break in the ride for H2O and chit chat. Today did a (aprox) 15 mile ride along the Neshaminy Creek of Bucks County with two friends. For one a first time distant ride with hills and the typical street terrain. How about others?

During the winter my rides are from 20 to 30 miles long depending on the weather and sunlight. When the long rides (100 miles) I have signed up for in the summer get closer I try to ride a 70 mile route that I have planned out. So I guess it all depends on what you are training for or how social you want to be. 15 Mile routes are fun with some buddies though but it seems to end too quickly.

I enjoy fall riding the best. Most of the tourists are gone so traffic is lighter. Riding with a friend makes it more enjoyable and there isn't any competition. Our ride lengths vary from 15 - 30 miles. Its a leisure pace but we mix it up some sprints, pacelines, etc and mixed terrain.
